THE AIKIBUDO DOJO
Welcome to the Aikibudo Dojo. At our Dojo we train in traditional Aikido as taught by the Aikido Union of England. Our Senseis are Master Pat Stratford 8th Dan and Sensei Chris McDonald 6th Dan.

Aikido translates into 'The way of Harmony and spirit ', it was founded in Japan in 1925 by Master Morihei Ueshiba (see right)

Aikido uses natural body movement to harmonize with attacks to enable the defender to throw a stronger person, or to apply immobilizing locks and pins.

Aikido is a modern Martial Art and is used in the combat training of the Military Police.

There are no rules, weight or size catergories in Aikido. This makes it suitable for people of any size or age. There are no competitions in Aikido and high degree of physical fitness is not required.

We train in a very friendly atmospere, whilst maintaining a certain degree of discipline. Our doors are open to any one who sincerely wishes to learn Aikido.

After an initial period of training, if the students wish, they can progress through the grading system. This will qualify you you in varing degrees of martial proficiency.  For prices check out the Financial Page.

All equipment needed for training can be purchased from the club, we use mail order and charge very very little.

Sensei Craig Peacock:

Sensei Craig's background is a bit of a unknown mystery.Proberbly the best way to find out is to cause trouble in his pub when he is working the 'Door' , (just remember two words -Life Insurance).

"No Mind" is a mind that lacks complication. In the midst of a single breath, where perversity cannot be held, is the Way.
